Our Story
A chance meeting at a local mommy group brought Stephanie and Michelle together to create Blush!. What started out as chatting about their baby girls led to discovering a bevvy of other similarities, including their love of photography, blogging, all things creative and even hip hop music!
After getting to know each other on a more personal level, they realized not only did they share similar interests but also shared similar experiences after they entered motherhood. The feelings of confidence and beauty just weren’t as strong as they were before becoming mommies. And how could they be when you're lucky enough to shower by 3PM, hormones were going bonkers yet again and the shirts they so naively thought would fit once they popped that baby out were nowhere close to being acceptable to wear in public. Mix that up with sleepless nights and and you’ve got yourself a recipe for a self confidence disaster. But it wasn’t just them that were feeling this way, the majority of women they talked to had also been experiencing the same thing.
Realizing that they had an ideal platform to make women feel beautiful about themselves again, Blush! was born.
So who are the gals behind the lens?
Michelle:
As a bay area native, wife and mother, life is good. Once my daughter was born I realized that being a slave to the corporate world was no longer for me thus beginning my career as a photographer. I have a passion for capturing moments in time and revealing life’s true beauty. I enjoy yoga, photography, and running short distances (no marathons for me). I stay up too late and curse myself for it each morning. My favorite food is string cheese and I still *string* it the same way I did as a kid.
Stephanie:
Also a bay area native, the last ten years of my life have been concentrated towards Sales and Marketing. I have always had a soft spot for photography. Once it was introduced as an elective class in high school, it became my passion and I haven’t stopped taking photos since. Becoming a stay at home mom for the first time after 15 years of working in a cubicle was quite an adjustment for me, but one of the most amazing adventures I have ever been on. I also enjoy wine with friends, traveling and spending time with my crazy family.
